Welcome To Kujichagulia
Kujichagulia(koo-jee-cha-goo-LEE-yah) is Swahili for self determination and is also one of the principles of Kwanzaa. Self determination can be defined as the process by which a person controls, and therefore creates, their own life. Assisting our clients in choosing their own paths in life is important to us at Kujichagulia, so we made it our name. Self determination is the cornerstone of therapy, and we strive to empower our clients by providing them with the skills to choose their own destiny. Here at Kujichagulia Wellness, we value the clients’ experiences and remind them that they are the expert in their own life.
We utilize a client centered, culturally affirming, and trauma informed lens during one on one therapy. Each session is unique to you and we aim to create a liberated space, primed for learning and growth.
We provide supervision utilizing an anti oppressive framework, and teach clinicians to decenter whiteness while confronting the oppressive systems that negatively impact patient care.
Offering a variety of consulting services that include: business consulting, program evaluation, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion services.
