We offer individual, family, relationship, and group therapy to adults and children with a wide variety of mental health challenges.  

Job Description: Kujichagulia Wellness Center, LLC seeks to hire a talented and well-trained BSW Intern to join a growing, creative, supportive, and team-oriented group practice. BSW Intern is responsible for administrative tasks in the office. BSW Intern must be familiar with using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documentation and billing, email, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

What we seek: Kujichagulia Wellness Center is currently hiring for an experienced BSW Intern to join our diverse and dynamic team.   

Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring payments are collected from clients
• Following up on outstanding balances
• Completing client clinical profiles
• Monitoring resource list and updating as necessary
• Providing case management services to small case load
• Creating and sending out monthly newsletter
• Submitting and following up on insurance claims
• Managing incoming calls and questions about starting services

• Most highly devoted and competent with clients in terms of compassion, communication, loyalty, consistency and effectiveness
• Must have a demonstrated commitment for diversity and experience working with BIPOC clients 
• Must have experience working with issues concerning Discrimination, LGBTQ issues, Life Transitions, and Cultural Competency/Humility

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have strong customer service skills, commitment to providing quality services, knowledge of the unique needs of the BIPOC community and have the capacity to work independently in a remote environment. 

Qualified applicants must: 

• Be a current Bachelors level student in good standing at a school of social work
• Be a sophomore or higher
• Have previous administrative experience
• Have strong skills in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

Positions Available: 

BSW Intern Position: 

• Monday to Friday  (dates and times flexible)
• 20hrs per week
• Virtual position

Compensation and Benefits:

The BSW Intern is not an employee or independent contractor and will be provided a stipend on a monthly basis. This position is not benefit eligible. 

Kujichagulia Wellness Center Stipend:   

• $500/mth
